Primary gear extractor

This puller is designed to safely and precisely remove the primary gear from the crankshaft.
The gear has a tapered bore and, once tightened with a nut, fits perfectly onto the crankshaft and drive key.
For this reason, it cannot be removed simply by unscrewing the nut.

Once the nut and lock washer have been removed, you must use a specific extractor tool, designed to:

- maximize the contact surface
- ensure uniform and correctly directed force
- prevent damage to engine components

Important Note:
When the gear disengages from the crankshaft, it does so suddenly; it's normal to feel a loud pop. Don't worry, nothing's broken.

Technical advise:
Not all Ducati engines use a tapered bore gear.
Some models have a broached gear, which simply requires removing the nut.
